On the 1st of April 2011, Elle and Rosie departed from The Souk on Plymouth barbican(a Morrocan restaurant). From there they crossed the English Channel and arrived in Roscoff early the following morning. They then cycled down the West coast of France in 8 days and crossed the boarder into Spain over the Pyrenees. They continued down through central Spain and arrived in Gibraltar after 21 days of cycling. They encountered hot sunshine, strong winds, rain, heavy rain, thunderstorms and were constantly surrounded by fantastic breath-taking scenery!
The plan was to jump on a ferry across to Morocco and find the nearest Souk to act as their finish line...sadly that did not quite happen so the ferry port became the new finish line.
